Description:
K -cell slide for microscopic examination of urinary sediment with 10 wells for reading, made in PMMA.
Use mode:
- Properly mix the urine sample in a 10 ml tube (code 18159):
- Centrifuge for 5 minutes at a rotation from 1000-1500 rpm;
- Eliminate 9 ml of the centrifuged urine;
- Suspend the precipitate again properly shaking the tube:
- Take some sample with a Pasteur pipette (code 18434 or 18432) and fill-in the available container of the slide;
- Read with magnification of 400x;
- Multiply by 1000 the number of elements found in the 9 circles.
Therefore, the value appoints the number of figurative elements present in 1 ml of urine.
- Total volume of the 9 circles: correspoding to 0,1 ul;
- With magnification of 100x, it is possible to see the 18 circles;
- With magnification of 400x, it is possible to see a full circle. There are 2 series of 9 circles each at the side of each container, totaling 18 circles, wich can be easily seen with magnification of 100 times in the microscope, those circles comprise a very accurate volume of urine, thus allowing to find the number of figurative elements present in 1 ml of urinewith a simple calculation.
